Noah's Ark

 

We have been studying the book of Genesis in Bible Study this year.  It is fun b/c Micah (well and Adelyn) study the same lesson that I do.  Micah wanted to read us the story of Noah this morning.  So neat to hear him learning the word of God!

Adelyn at 10 months

Don't I tell you every month how sweet she is?  Well, I guess I'll do it again b/c she is just SO sweet!  Not too much new to report.  She is standing on her own now and it will only be a matter of days till she takes a real first step.  She continues to get into everything, she still wakes once a night to eat (3 am every night....grrr), she loves to play with Micah and Daddy, and this girl loves carbs (we are now back to where we cant put the bread/rolls on the table until after we eat b/c she goes crazy when she sees bread).  She also loves to wave and it is so adorable.  We all stand at the window as Corey leaves for work and Adelyn just loves to wave bye-bye.  One of her other current thing she does is she crawls away really fast and then if you call her name she stops, sits on her bottom, waves, and then takes off again.  I keep trying to get it on video but anyime I get the camera out she won't do it.

Phoenix Trip

The end of October we went with Corey's parents to Phoenix for a week of vacation (and for us visiting old friends from when we lived there).  I will state the obvious that traveling and vacationing with kids is a lot of work---but with that being said we had a GREAT week.  The weather was perfect (85 during the day and cool at night), the resort was awesome for kids (splash pad, park, lazy river, playground, bonfire pits for smores at night etc etc), we met up with friends who we hadn't seen for 2 years (though we were unable to see everyone), had a great time with Corey's parents (Corey and I even got a night out by ourself with was great and his parents are awesome with the kids which was awesome for us as well), and overall just had a great vacation.  Between spending time at the resort and seeing old friends we didn't really have time to do a whole lot else..as it always does vacations go by so fast.  Here are a bunch of pics from our trip. 

 

Micah was of couse thrilled about being on a plane!  Both kids actually did really well.  It was naptime and bedtime on each leg so they both slept both flights.  It was Adelyn who was more difficult when she was awake as she is at that stage where you cant entertain her and she just wants down.
