In case you were wondering...

we are still alive and kicking here at the Kugle house. Life has just been crazy here so the blog has taken the back burner. So, let's see....where do I start?
Well, after lots of job searching, interviewing (we literally interviewed coast-to-coast from CA to FL and in between), praying, and some hard decisions Corey accepted a position as an Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship at The Chapel (and Evangelical Free church in St. Joseph, MI). Yes, that is the same St. Joseph where we both grew up and our family still lives. Who would have ever thought we'd be back home? Not us! But God has brought us back and we are excited to be getting started in ministry and also excited to be back close to family. And they are of course thrilled to have Micah near by too.

Since being back home it's been great to spend so much time with our family. We've also been enjoying the fall. I personally LOVE the fall, though you can imagine how we feel about being back for winter. The weather was not what brought us back!! We've been able to get outside lots right now though and that's been great as Micah just loves being outside. He can be fussy and crabby and then we'll walk outside and he is completely happy. And of course what is fall without football right? We've spent the last few Saturdays watching MSU with Corey's parents. We've made it down to Silver Beach several times and even took Micah on the new carousel. We also went to Grand Mere Beach and walked through some dunes. This was actually where Corey proposed to me about 7 1/2 years ago!

This is Corey's second week of work so things are going to start getting busy. We are currently staying in a house that the church owns while we look to buy. We are excited to hopefully find something soon. We aren't in a rush and are so thankful for the church house but I am anxious to get settled into a place of our own too.

So, guess that is the nutshell version of what our life has consisted of the past few weeks. I didn't include all the details of packing and moving back to MI but you can imagine. Thankfully we were able to fly so I didn't have to endure 30+ hours of Micah in the car. Yikes!!!!

Some of you may also be wondering how my dad is doing and he is doing marvelously!!!! What an answer to prayers! He goes back on Thursday to see the surgeon for a follow-up appointment but there seem to be no residual effects of his tumor!! Praise God!

Here are some pics of our past few months:
